Delhi is not yet fully ready for CWG: Minister
New Delhi, Jul 28: Though the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is ready for Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010, but still the controversy over CWG is not showing any sign of perishing.
The games are scheduled to be held in Delhi from Oct 3 to 14 but many venues for the sports event are not yet ready.
AK Walia, CWG committee member on Wednesday, Jul 28 said that he was not sure if all stadiums would be ready by the Aug 15 deadline for the Games.
Union Sports Minister MS Gill, however, sounded confident that all the arrangements for Commonwealth Games were going on smoothly.
"I was to get two things done, first to get the money and then built the stadium. I am happy with the things that I have done. I made sure that all requirements are met in time," said Gill.
