Delhi HC issues notice to BJP MP Varun Gandhi
New Delhi, Jul 28: The Delhi High Court issued notice to Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) MP Varun Gandhi for allegedly making defamatory remarks against his uncle VM Singh.
VM Singh, Congress candidate from Pilibhit constituency, filed petition against him during the Lok Sabha elections in 2009.
High Court Justice Aruna Suresh asked Varun Gandhi's response in this matter by Friday, July 30.
In the petition VM Singh claimed that Varun Gandhi made remarks linking him to Pakistan's ISI and working for a separate state of Khalistan.
VM Singh is a first cousin of Varun Gandhi's mother and former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi.
