Parents shouldn't teach kids how to drive: Oz study
Melbourne, July 27 (ANI): Parents should be banned from teaching their children the skills of driving as they do not have sufficient driving skills themselves, a recent survey by south Australia's peak motoring body has revealed.
Of 1332 members surveyed, more than 47 per cent thought parents should be banned from teaching their children to drive, according to The Advertiser.
More than 49 per cent told the RAA they did not have the skills required to teach a learner.
The survey was conducted after V8 Supercar racer Mark Skaife demanded for parents to be banned from teaching children to drive, as a means of improving road safety, reports News.com.au.
Skaife said that a lot of parents passed on their own bad driving habits to their children. (ANI)
