Suspected extremist arrested in Punjab
Patiala, Jul 26: Punjab's Patiala district police arrested Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) extremist on Monday, Jul 26.
According to the police Pargat Singh is an associate of another KLF extremist Bakshish Singh, who was arrested in the state recently.
Pargat was staying as paying guest Pushpinder Singh in a house in Patiala, about 70 km from Chandigarh. A police official did not rule out the possibility of Pargat trying to re-group terror elements in the state to revive terrorism. A case has been registered.
Punjab faced a bloody phase of terrorism between 1981 to 1995, leaving nearly 25,000 people dead.
