Narendra Modi accepts Amit Shah's resignation
New Delhi, Jul 24: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has accepted the resignation of his close aide and state Home Minister, Amit Shah, who has recently come up in negative light over his alleged involvement in the 2005 Sohrabuddin fake encounter.
“I just got the information that junior Home Minister Amit Shah has sent his resignation letter to my home," the CM told reporters in the national capital after he landed there to attend the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) meet.
“I accept his resignation and will complete the official procedures after going back," he said.
Insisting that the charges slapped against his cabinet minister were "fabricated", Modi echoed what his party had said on Friday, Jul 24 by accusing the Congress-led UPA government of misusing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
