'Crazy' Italian creates red alert in Oz airport

Melbourne, Jul 24: A crazy man's joyride made red alert at the international airport in Melbourne on Saturday, Jul 24.

The man took a joyride on the tarmac in a motorised cart stolen from a hangar.

The man, later identified as an Italian national, was seen zooming around in the cart he stole from the Virgin Airlines hangar shortly after scaling the airport"s security fences. Later he was picked up by Virgin staff.

"A few flights were delayed and passengers were taken off a plane nearby and screened again in case the incident was part of a bigger security breach," said police officials.
