Naxals target bus in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Jul 23: A private bus ferrying from Jagdalpur(Bastar district) to Basaguda was stopped on the way by naxals and all 22 passengers traveling in the bus were asked to leave before they abandoned the bus near a village according to the Bijapur police report.
The freak incident took place late at night when Maoists stopped the bus near Mardadand village and fled away with the vehicle.
The passengers on board were reportedly safe according to the police.
Further, police said that both the driver and conductor were threatened to leave the bus.
Later the bus was recovered by the driver and the conductor themselves nearby the village and they informed the bus owner and the police.
