US looks for Osama's info from Pak

Washington, Jul 22: US asked Pakistan to share the information it has about Osama Bin Laden, insisting that some elements in the Pakistani government know the whereabouts of al Qaeda chief.

State Department spokesperson PJ Crowley was addressing the media at the daily news conference in Washington while he said that there is this kind of knowledge somewhere with in the Pakistani government, as stated before by the Secretary of the State. US hope that if that knowledge is available they can find out and take appropriate action, he added.

Mr. Crowley said Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State in an interview during her trip to Pakistan did not suggest that the highest level authorities in Pakistan have specific knowledge of where Osama is.

He said that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had revealed on a major television program that he is not sure precisely today where Bin Laden is. “I think we believe that he remains in the tribal areas between Afghanistan and Pakistan," he said.
