Man stoned to death for Dalit relationship
Muzaffarnagar, Jul 22: A man involved in love relationship with a Dalit woman was stoned to death allegedly by her community members, police said on Thursday, Jul 22.
The case was suspected as honour killing.
A widower (Prem Singh of Thakur) forty eight-year-old was in relationship with the woman for the past few years, which was against the girl's community, they said.
Singh was kept in a corner near the woman's house in Umarpur village on Wednesday, Jul 21 and he was beaten to death with bricks and stones by a group of Dalit men, Deputy SP Rajesh Kumar said.
Police have registered a case against four accused - Rishipal, Ishwar, Kala and Guddu - who are absconding and a search is on the process.
