Voting to elect new PM begins in Nepal
Kathmandu, Jul 21: Nepal parliament will elect it's new prime minister on Wednesday, Jul 21.
Chairman of UCPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda, Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party Leader Ram Chandra Poudel and CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal have filled the papers to compete for the prime minister's post.
The lawmakers present at the House will vote for the three candidates and the candidate who get more than 50 percent of the votes will be elected as the PM.
If none of the them get approved, the parliament secretariat will fix a date for the second phase of election.
