You can have only 5000 friends in Facebook

New York, Jul 21: Social networking website, Facebook, has limited the number of friends list to 5000.

Facebook limited the number due to the back-end technical reasons. But users can create 'fan' pages, which have no limit.

"A fraction of a percent of the site's 400 million global users has topped the limit, making the few that do have 5,000 pals a new, albeit strange, sort of elite," said Meredith Chin, Facebook spokeswoman.
