Boat capsizes in Uttar Pradesh, six killed

Moradabad (UP), July 20 (ANI): At least six persons drowned and nine others were missing after a boat capsized in Ramganga river in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad District this morning.

The boat carrying 25 people overturned when passengers were alighting near Daswan Ghat at around 6:30 am.

Rescue workers rushed to the site to look for the missing people.

"The boat turned when the passengers were trying to get off the boat. Rescue operations are going on, officials have reached the place," B.P. Jogdand, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Moradabad. (ANI)
