Snakes targeting golfers in Sweden
London, July 19 (ANI): Vipers are targeting Swedish golfers when they go into the rough grass or bushes to track their balls, according to local reports. oaring temperatures have brought the venomous snakes out of hiding, according to a spokesman for the Stockholm health board, and the area around the capital has seen a nearly 50 per cent increase in reports of bites and stings.
Poor golfers are among the most targeted group, the spokesman said, with many reporting being bitten by vipers as they tracked down their balls in rough grass or bushes, reports the Telegraph.
Anyone bitten by a viper should seek immediate medical attention, Ingrid Sandholm, a Stockholm nurse, told The Local.
It is impossible to say how individuals will react to the snake's venom, she said. (ANI)
