Monsoon sessions of MP, Goa legislative assemblies to begin today
Bhopal/ Panaji, July 19 (ANI): The Monsoon session of the state legislative assemblies of Madhya Pradesh and Goa begins today in Bhopal and Panaji respectively.
The 12-day session in Madhya Pradesh will have a total of ten sittings.
The Madhya Pradesh government is expected to table some important bills and its first supplementary budget for this financial year in the House during the session.
The session is likely to be stormy as the Congress party has already announced plans to dock the state government over corruption, a deteriorating law and order situation, hike in power tariffs and the water and power crisis in the state.
In Goa, the 15 day session is likely to be stormy with the Bharatiya Janata Party likely to grill the government on various issues such as illegal mining, the excise scam, the law and order situation and the police-drug lord nexus. (ANI)
