Malaysian man held over rape of 3-year-old niece

Kuala Lumpur, July 18 (ANI): A 24-year-old Malaysian man who is suspected of raping his three-year-old niece has been detained by police.

The man was arrested in the wee hours of Friday after the girl's mother filled a police report.

Sandakan deputy police Chief Supt Fadzil Mohd Ali said the 40-year-old mother found her daughter crying and bleeding from her private part when she returned from work at about 7.30pm on Thursday.

She then lodged the report and the girl was later admitted to the Duchess of Kent hospital, reports the Star Online.

It was believed that the suspect was at home taking care of the woman's three children, aged between two and four while she was away.

The investigations were being carried out for rape under Section 376 of the Penal Code, said Fadzil. (ANI)
