Make local journey luxurious with Nano
Bangalore, Jul 18: Bangaloreans may be able to hire a 'Nano' instead of an auto in the nearby future, for their local journey if a government proposal comes true.
R Ashoka, Karnataka Transport minister said that State Government is thinking of purchasing 10,000 Tata Nano cars and renting them out in the Garden City. The profit will be shared between the government and the driver at the ratio of 40:60, respectively.
He said that the government may invest for the cars from its own resources or opt for loans.
"There is not much difference in the cost between an auto-rickshaw and a Nano. "We continue to receive complaints about auto drivers. Moreover, their number in the city is insufficient compared to the population,'' Ashoka said.
Hope to see Nano's in every nook and corner of the city in the time to come.
