'Let me be clear' is Obama's favourite phrase

New York, July 18 (ANI): US President Barack Obama may be a great orator, but he relies on a couple of choice phrases.

Among his favourite phrases are: "make no mistake", "whole host", "change isn't easy", reports The New York Post.

But it looks like "Let me be clear" is Obama's all time favourite windup for almost everything.

"Let me be clear. If you like your doctor or health care provider, you can keep them." The New York Daily News quoted him, as saying in one of his dozens of pitches for a health insurance overhaul.

Taking about terrorists, he said: "Now let me be clear: We are indeed at war with al-Qaida and its affiliates."

When speaking of student testing, Obama said: "Let me be clear: Success should be judged by results, and data is a powerful tool to determine results."

Iran and the threat posed by its nuclear program found expression as: "Let me be clear: Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile activity poses a real threat, not just to the United States, but to Iran's neighbors and our allies."

Announcing new aid in Trinidad, he said: "Let me be clear: This is not charity." (ANI)
