Hillary Clinton arrives in Pakistan
Islamabad, July 18(ANI): US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for a two-day visit that will focus on economic aid, and Pakistan's role in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan.
Clinton will meet Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani today.
According to Obama administration officials, Clinton might question Pakistan's plans to buy two nuclear reactors from China - a deal that alarm the US because it is cloaked in secrecy and is being conducted outside the global nonproliferation regime.
During her visit, she will hold talks with several senior Pakistani officials, including Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, The News reports.
She is also scheduled to meet Pakistani business leaders and the head of the Pakistani opposition, Nawaz Sharif. (ANI)
