iPhone 4 "not perfect", admits Apple Inc
Cupertino, Jul 17: Much to everyone's surprise, Apple Inc CEO Steve Jobs on Friday, Jul 16 admitted that iPhone 4 was "not perfect".
Acknowledging that that internal testing showed the iPhone 4 dropped more calls than its previous model - iPhone 3GS, Jobs announced that all the users of its latest smartphone will be receiving a free case in order to solve reception issues caused by the phone's exterior-antenna design.
However, in a response that was more like the Apple Inc that the tech world is familiar with, the company spent the majority of the time in the press conference briefing how all cell phones can suffer from signal problems.
And the move to distribute cases is being seen as a safer step as against the expenses a recall would entail. Moreover, the cases may also just be enough to do heal the damage done to the company's reputation due to the malfunctioning iPhone 4 models.
