Ranchi, Jul 17: A CRPF constable was shot dead after he allegedly opened fire at his colleagues killing six of them on Friday, Jul 16 night.
The constable, identified as Harpinder Singh of 196 battalion of CRPF, was drunk when he opened indiscriminate fire.
Singh, who was on sentry duty at a CRPF camp, started indiscriminately firing at his colleagues around 10 pm in Jharkhand"s Saraikela district, a senior CRPF officer said on Saturday, Jul 17.
The firing went on for four hours and ended at 2 am when a CRPF personnel at the camp shot him, he added.
Six CRPF men, including Assistant Commandant Bisahu Singh were killing in the incident of fratricide.
