Suicide bomb attack kills 20 in Iran
Tehran, Jul 16: 20 people were killed and 100 injured in a suicide bomb attack on a mosque in Iran.
Iranian interior ministry reported that the suicide attack happened on Thursday, Jul 15 in the city of Zahedan in southeastern Iran. Ministry accused radical Sunnite group Jundollah (Soldiers of God) for the attack.
Official news agency IRNA reported that the radical Sunnite group Jundollah (Soldiers of God) made the attack as retaliation for the execution last of its leader Abdolmalik Rigi in Jun 2010.
The terrorist group Jundollah also claimed responsibility for a bombing in the province that killed more than 40 people, including 15 senior members of the Revolutionary Guards, in Oct 2009.
