Laden loves Messi, wants to date Drew Barrymore

London, Jul 16: After recently splitting up with his wife, Omar bin Laden, the son of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, has expressed interest in dating Hollywood heartthrob Drew Barrymore.

The son of the world's most wanted fugitive was earlier married to Zaina, a British woman who was 25 years older than him.

Zaina said she could not go on with Omar following his drug-induced schizophrenia. The 29-year-old man had even begun hearing his father's voice in his head. The grandmother of five had blamed Osama for Omar's break down.

"I want to go to America and I would love to meet Drew Barrymore. I am single now and she is the most beautiful woman in Hollywood," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.

In the interview with the Brit tabloid, Omar reportedly spoke about his love of American culture. Omar enjoys Jim Carrey films, American football, rock music, Laurel And Hardy and admires Madonna, The Sun reported.

He also went on to speak on the recently concluded FIFA World Cup 2010.

"My favourite player is Lionel Messi," he is quoted as saying.

On his father, he said, "My dad is on the Earth but I don't know where. He's still alive. If that sort of person dies, you could never make it a secret. The world changes if he dies."
