Heavy rains kill 15 in Yemen

Sana"a (Yemen), Jul 15: 15 people were killed in heavy rain in different parts of northwest Yemen.

Heavy rain caused flooding and landslides which increased the death toll.

Police reported that 7 people were killed in Mashanna district when the floods swept away their car.

In Dhamar province 5 people were killed and four injured in a massive flood from a collapsed dam. Flood washed away a health centre, farms and roads.

Yemen"s Meteorological Authority reported that heavy rains will continue for another week in different parts of the country.
