Bangalore, Jul 14: Bangalore 17th fast track court on Wednesday, Jul 14 awarded life imprisonment to the three convicts in the Dec 2003 murder case of a software engineer.

On Tuesday, Jul 13 fast track court found Girish's fiancee, Shubha, and three others guilty of the murder. Girish, software engineer with Intel, had been engaged to Shubha just for days before his murder on Dec 3, 2003 in Ring Road, Bangalore.

Court found that Shubha's boy friend Arun, his cousine Dinakar and local goon Venketesh involved in the case.

Police from Viveknagar Police station arrested the culprits in Jan 2004.

On Dec 3, 2003 Shubha forced Girish to take her out for dinner and made him stop his bike near the flight landing point on Ring Road, between Indranagar and Kormangala.

When Girish was busy watching a flight, Venketesh went from behind, hit him on the head with a shock absorber, and sped away on Arun's bike.

Girish died in Manipal Hospital. Shubha told police an unidentified person attacked her fiancee and run away.

Police suspected Shubha and checked call details on her mobile phone. There were a number of calls to Arun's number and police kept a watch on him. Later police arrested Arun with more evidence. He confessed and police arrested Shubha, Dinakar and Venketesh.

The judgment came after seven years. Girish's family were present in the court to hear the quantum of sentence.
