New Delhi, Jul 14: Jerome Bonnafont, the French ambassador in India said that France supports India's bid for a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council. He said that India, Brazil, Germany and Japan should be included as permanent members in UN.

He said that India and France shared the ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity as well as an unconditional desire for peace. Both the nations also consider UN as a parliament of nations and in finding solutions to the world's problems through mutual dialogue.
“How can such a body pretend to solve problems when India, Brazil, Germany and Japan are not sitting at the table," he asked.
