Trading closes in red after four days uprent
Mumbai, Jul 14: The trading closed in red after four days winning streak. The profit booking and weak European cues in the last half an hour of the trading led to loss in the market.
At 4.45 pm Sensex closed trading at 17938.16, down 47.74 points and the Nifty closed at 5386.15, down 14.50 points.
In the last four days Sensex saw an increase over 150 points.
Top gainers were Larsen up 2.45 percent, SBI up 1.46 percent, Axis Bank up 1.13 percent, Hero Honda up 1.01 percent.
The top losers were Mahindra and Mahindra down 2.44 percent, Idea Cellular down 2.42 percent, Ranbaxy Labs down 2.42 percent and Suzion Energy down 1.95 percent.

Trading continues in green, loss in early highs
The points continue in green due to buying in financial, realty, FMCG, power, select metal and telecom companies' shares.
At 2.30 hrs BSE Sensex was trading at 18068.07, up 82.17 points and the Nifty was at 5426.60, up 25.00 points, which lost about 100 points from early highs.
SBI, DLF, Unitech were the most active traders in the market.
Top gainers were Larsen up 2.49 percent, Siemens up 2.33 percent, HDFC up 2.08 percent, Reliance Power up 1.95 percent.
The top losers were Idea Cellular down 2.95 percent, Mahindra and Mahindra down 1.84 percent, Infosys down 1.39 percent, and ONGC down 1.34 percent.

Sensex goes up; HDFC, Hindalco lead
At 12:00 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,069.08 up 83.18 points and NSE Nifty was 5425.50 up 24.85 points.
Nifty was trading below 5450 level. Tech major Infosys continued its journey in red. The other losers in the trade were Idea, GAIL, BPCL and HCL Tech.
The leading gainers on Nifty were HDFC, Hindalco, SBI, Siemens, DLF, PNB, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Reliance Infrastructure and Hero Honda.
The broader indices including BSE Midcap and Smallcap gained 0.64 to 0.8 percent. Banking and Realty indices went up 1 percent each on BSE. The shares of metal, power, auto, capital goods and healthcare also went up 0.5 to 0.9 percent.

Nifty hits 5450; metal, realty up
At 9:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,133.29 up 147.39 points and NSE Nifty was 5442.45 up 41.80 points.
Benchmarks started the day on strong positive notes. Nifty was 49.70 points up and Sensex was up 170 points when the markets opened.
The top gainers of Nifty were Bharti Airtel, Sterlite Industries, Hindalco, Tata Steel, SAIL, IDFC, ICICI Bank, SBI and HDFC where as Infosys was the only loser. On BSE, DLF which gained 4.13 percent was the top gainer. Tata Steel went up 2.27 percent and Jaiprakash Associates went up 2.12 percent.
Shares of realty, consumer durables, banking and metal witnessed heavy buying. IT index plunged in BSE. BSE broader indices also went up 0.7 percent.
