Violence kills 23 in Guatemala

Guatemala City, Jul 12: 23 people were killed in separate incidents of violence in Guatemala on Sunday, Jul 11.

Various incidents in the different parts of the country killed nearly two dozen including six women.

Police officials reported that twelve people were killed in the province of Guatemala, and two others died in the interior of the country. And in the northern part of the country, an attack on a bus killed five women and a prison guard.

In the eastern province of Zacapa, three people were murdered during an armed attack by unknown gunmen.
