Goods train with coal derails in UP
Lucknow, Jul 12: A coal loaded goods train from Dhanbad to a National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) unit in Tanda town derailed in Uttar Pradesh.
The goods train derailed in Ambedkar Nagar district on Monday, Jul 12 but no one was injured.
"Three coaches of the train derailed near Tanda railway station, subsequently damaging the tracks. A team of officials has arrived to repair the damaged tracks," said Ram Asrey, Government Railway Police (GRP) inspector.
"We are yet to ascertain any specific reason behind the derailment. It would only be confirmed after the completion of an enquiry that would be conducted by senior railway officials," he added.
