India to back any move for peace in Afghanistan
New Delhi, Jul 11: External Affairs Minister SM Krishna will attend the Kabul conference on Jul 20. The conference will be attended by the representatives of around 50 countries.
SM Krishna is expected to provide support to Afghan for any reintegration move which will offer 'genuine peace' in that country. He will also emphasise that India will be ready to offer any help to Afghanistan in order to build public institutions and other capacities.
When Afghan President Hamid Karzai visited India during Apr 2010, PM Manmohan Singh also had emphasised that close cooperation between the two nations was in the interest of their people and peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Many other top officials including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will attend the Kabul conference .
