Recession Collection dominates second day of Chennai fashion show

Chennai, July 9 (ANI) The second day of Chennai International Fashion Week showcased the unique Recession Collection along with the latest Western-wear here.

The main collection on the second day of Fashion Week was focussed on 'Recession and Global Warming', and was created by designer Priyanka Bansal.

"People are not using their old clothes, and they wanted something new but they don't have money to buy, so I thought, why not to reconstruct old clothes into a new garment and wear them, and just go for a party?" said Bansal.

Former Miss India, Natasha Suri, was the showstopper of the Fashion Show.

"I'm actually loving it, and it makes me feel very proud that I am a part of this Fashion Week. Lovely designers and great talent, and I look forward to coming here again and again," said Suri.

The Fashion Week would showcase eight international and 22 Indian fashion designers, with 30 fashion shows featuring over a 100 models. The style extravaganza that began on July 7 will conclude July 11.
