Hospital gives kin 'wrong' body for cremation

Mumbai, Jul 9: The woman who lost her husband found that the body she and her family received was not that of her husband's.

When the relatives of the deceased approached the hospital authorities of Babasaheb Ambedkar Railway Hospital in Byculla of Maharashtra, their reply was 'it was the only body in the mortuary at the time'.

The relatives of Shankar Sahu who died in the wee hours of Tuesday, Jul 6 realised that the body given to them was somebody else's, after completing the formalities, reports a leading news paper.

However the Sahu family had not filed a police complaint since the hospital authorities said that an investigation would be done in the matter.
