Cameron Diaz takes pride in the way she's handled fame

London, July 9 (ANI): Actress Cameron Diaz has revealed that she is proud of the way she has handled fame, insisting that she could have easily fallen off track after her rise to stardom.

Diaz, 37, is one of the top-paid actresses in Hollywood, but she stays away from the A-list partying scene in favour of low-key time with family and friends.

And she's convinced her international celebrity status has actually proved her strength of character.

"People always say, 'Oh, you haven't changed at all, despite the fame.' But I believe that fame makes you become who you are more clearly," the Daily Star quoted her as telling Harper's Bazaar magazine.

"When all the doors are open for you, you have to set boundaries for yourself.

"If you don't have a good upbringing, the danger is that you'll take advantage of those limitless opportunities, and then you lose your s**t," she added. (ANI)
