Another quake strikes Andaman islands

New Delhi, Jul 9: Andaman continues to be rattled by earthquakes as a moderate intensity temblor struck the coast north of the islands on Thursday, Jul 8 evening.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that the quake measured 5.3 in magnitude on the Richter scale.

The quake was felt around 7: 17 pm on Thursday, Jul 8.

Official data said that the epicentre of the quake was at 14.5 degree North latitude and 93.2 degree East longitude.

This follows a series of quakes that has been reported from the Andaman islands in the Indian ocean.
