Cisco to hire 3,000 in Bangalore
Mumbai, Jul 8: Cisco Systems is planning on hiring as many as 3,000 professionals over a span of
two years in Bangalore, which is the networking behemoth's second head office after California.
This move from the 40-billion dollar company comes in a bid to enhance its information communication technology services in India.
"We are quite happy about our Indian operations. As Bangalore is the second head office for Cisco after California, we want to increase our headcount here. We plan to hire 3,000 more in the next two years," Cisco's Chief Globalisation Officer and Executive Vice-President, Wim Elfrink informed.
In line with these plans, a 1-million sq ft campus is set to come up in Bangalore.
The current headcount of Cisco in India stands at 7,000.
