Our US ties will not be harmed: Medvedev
Moscow, Jul 5: Dmitry Medvedev, Russian President wrote a letter to US President Barack Obama that the attempts to derail the improvements in relations between Russia and the United States will fail.
Medvedev congratulated Obama on the US Independence Day on Jul 4 saying that "(Our) constructive, neighbourly relations... make it futile to try to downplay the importance of our achievements."
Both nations had pledged that the US arrests of Russian espionages will not damage rapports between both the nations. Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister had earlier blamed US authorities for going 'out of control'.
Moscow also acknowledged that the spy suspects who were detained in US are Russian citizens. Prosecutors sought classified information, stopping accusing them of espionage, but filed case against them being unregistered agents of a foreign government.
