Queen Elizabeth to visit Ground Zero and UN
New York, Jul 5: Queen Elizabeth II is planning to visit Ground Zero in the United States on Tuesday, Jul 6 to pay tributes to the 9/11 terror attack victims.
Queen, 84, will also advocate in the UN General Assembly during her visit. She will be addressing UN General Assembly after more five decades. Queen had spoke at the General Assembly in 1957, four years after she was crowned.
This plan for the visit to New York was scheduled at the end of her trip to Canada in relation with the Canada Day. Her tour lasted for nine days.
Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth's grandson had visited New York in 2009.
