Potter star gets death threats from dad, brother

Manchester, Jul 3: Amid the spur in 'honour killings' of couples marrying against caste-norms in India, a similar story comes from the Britain where Harry Potter star, Afshan Azad, has alleged that she got death threats from her brother and her father over her relationship with a Hindu man.

Potter's reel-life girlfriend has alleged that she was 'almost killed' by her 28-year-old bother Ashraf Azad and 54-year-old Abul Azad.

On the star's complaint, assault charges have slapped against the two men. Afshan has also reported that she was physically assaulted by her brother occasionally.

A magistrate in Manchester has scheduled the next hearing for Jul 12.

The 21-year-old star plays Padma Patil in the famous movie series Harry Potter. Afshan shot to popularity after the 2005 movie 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".
