Infiltration bid foiled, four militants killed

Srinagar, Jul 3: In a gun battle between army personnel and militants along the Line of Control (LoC), which began on Friday, Jul 2 night, four militants were gunned down.

A defence official informed that the firing began when army personnel in Nowgam sector confronted a group of heavily-armed militants, who were trying to cross the border into Kashmir.

Four militants were killed in the gun battle, that not only went on through the night but continued to rage as the reports came in.

This report indicates the worrying continuation of infiltration efforts at the border.
