6 people die in flood in Mexico
Mexico City, Jul 3: Six people were killed in flood caused by hurricane Alex in city of Monterrey, Mexico.
Category 2 hurricane Alex hit Mexico's Gulf coast on Wednesday, Jun 30 causing heavy rain and flood in the Santa Catarina river, which is normally dry.
The flooding damaged bridges in Monterrey as well as railway tracks in the region.
"Atleast six people were killed in and around the northern city of Monterrey," said Jorge Camacho, Nuevo Leon state Civil Defense Director.
