Temple for Tamil Nadu CM
Chennai, Jul 2: Building temples for politicians is the recent tern in India. After Mayawathi now its the tern of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to acquire the status of a deity.
According to media reports, a temple with M Karunanidhi, as the deity is all set to come up in Samireddipalli of Vellore district at the cost of Rs two lakh. A local supporter of DMK party G R Krishnamoorthy, District Panchayat Councellor is the brain behind this temple.
"I treat him as a god. The good work of him, has inspired me especially 'Kalaingar Kappitu Thitam' (free insurance scheme for poor) to construct this temple," says G R Krishnamoorthy.
With the symbol of the rising sun, this temple will have two and a half foot idol of M Karunanidhi, photographs of Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, state Law Minister Durai Murugan and a small park for children.
