Meet Cius, the new tablet baby

San Francisco, Jul 2: The tablet computer industry is going to be more interesting. Cius is the new baby in the market.

Cisco Systems Inc is launching Cius, tablet computing device aimed at business customers, becoming the latest company to wade into the red hot tablet market.

Cius will work over both short-range WiFi and high speed mobile wireless networks, as a collaboration and communication device for enterprises. It will also offers portable video conferencing, access to a users" desktop computer, email messaging and web browsing.

The Cius has a 7 inch Super Video Graphics Array (SVGA) display and runs on Google"s Android operating system, while its video calling capabilities are handled by a front-mounted camera which can also capture video in 720p High Definition (HD) at a frame rate of 30fps.

Cius also has Bluetooth and micro USB connectivity, noise-cancelling microphones, a built-in accelerometer, a removable battery that pushes eight hours of operation on a single charge.

Tablet market was created by Apple Inc with the successful launch of the iPad in Apr 2010. The companies like Dell Inc and Toshiba Corp also hiting the market in 2010.
