After police medals, Rathore loses pension
New Delhi, Jun 30: Haryana 'molester cop' SPS Rathore, who become the face that incited hatred in many across the country, has now been denied of his pension.
The government on Wednesday, Jun 30 decided to withhold the full pension of the former Haryana DGP on a permanent basis.
"Pension of Rathore, a retired IPS officer of the 1965 batch, has been withheld in full on permanent basis," a Home Ministry spokesman said, informing that the decision was taken in view of Rathore's conviction by chief judicial magistrate of Chandigarh in Dec 2009.
The government has already stripped Rathore of his police medals.
Rathore is currently serving an 18-month jail term for molesting a 14-year-old Ruchika Girhotra in 1990. The victim later killed herself due to the mental trauma that followed the incident.
