MP: One-man committee to probe Bhopal tragedy

Bhopal, Jun 30: A one-member probe commission will be established by the Madhya Pradesh government to look into all the matters concerning the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

MP Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who announced this on Wednesday, Jun 30, said that the commission would be headed by a retired judge of the high court. He, however, did not announce the name of the judge.

The issues and other things to be placed before the Commission would be decided soon, the Chief Minister informed media personnel at his residence.

The commission will also be given a deadline to submit its report on the world's worst industrial accident, which took place in Bhopal in Dec 1984.
