Maoists attack again, 7 CRPF jawans dead
Raipur, Jun 30: 7 jawans lost their lives in a landmine blast in Bijapur area on Wednesday, Jun 30. The blast took place when the jawans were trying to diffuse the landmine, before it blazzed.
The landmine was suspected to have been planted by Maoists.
The incident happened a day after the Maoist attack which claimed the lives of 26 CRPF jawans in a remote area of Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district.
Naxals have also called for a two-days bandh in five states including Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Chattisgarh and Bihar as protest against the anti-people policies of the Government.
More details about the blast are awaited.
