Extortion calls to Ravi Shankar's ashram
Bangalore, Jun 30: Spiritual guru Sri Ravi Shankar, who has fascinated millions in India and abroad, is now receiving extortion calls for Rs 42 crores.
According to the sources, from past three days Art of Living ashram has been receiving extortion calls from unidentified men to three spiritual teachers, and threatened to defame the organisation if their demand was not met.
"We have received extortion calls demanding Rs 42 crore, failing which they have threatened to defame our organisation, hence this could be serious so we handed all the call details to the police" Art of Living spokesman Girish Govind told Express News Service.
Art of Living has informed Karnataka Director General of Police Ajai Kumar Singh about the extortion calls.
