Amusement park accident kills 6 in China
Beijing, Jun 30: Six people were killed in China in an accident at an amusement park.
At least 10 injured and out of the six people killed, two women and a man have been identified. The incident happened on Tuesday, Jun 29 at an amusement park in Shenzhen city.
The accident occurred due to the malfunctioning of a ride that simulates a rocket launch.
The simulation ride with 11 cabins, each of which can accommodate four people, suffered a power cut leading to the accident.
"There was a power cut when the accident happened, and I smelt something burnt. We managed to open the door to escape before firefighters arrived to rescue others," said Zhang, who escaped without injuries.
