Encounter in Kupwara LoC; militants, jawans dead

Srinagar, Jun 29: A gun battle which broke out along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara sector of Jammu Kashmir, claimed the lives of three Army jawans and six foreign terrorists. The incident happened on Monday, Jun 28.

A senior Army official told a news agency that the troops uplifted the movement of a group of invading militants in 104 forward locations along the Line of Control in Kupwara. The Army officials launched an operation, which ended in a fierce encounter.

The Army is searching for two more terrorists who might have eluded.
