107 people buried, trapped after rain-triggered landslide in China
Guiyang (China), June 28 (ANI): At least 107 people were buried alive and trapped by a rainstorm-triggered landslide on Monday in China's Guizhou Province. he landslide occurred at 2.30 p.m. in Dazhai Village, Guanling County.
According to local authorities, the number of casualties was not immediately known, as rain and landslides continue to plague the region.
Meanwhile, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has urged all-out efforts to rescue the buried people, and Vice Premier Hui Liangyu is rushing to the site with a team of experts and officials, Xinhua news agency reports.
Rescuers are facing difficult time reaching the site due to its inaccessibility by vehicle. (ANI)
