Aussie PM Julia Gillard's partner 'happy to cook for her'
Sydney, June 27 (ANI): Aussie Prime Minister Julia Gillard's partner Tim Mathieson, a former hairdresser, is happy to cook and care for her, according to his pal.
Former AFL footy player Geoff Raines says his Mathieson, whose current work is dabbling in real estate but retains his love of his hairdressing trade by still cutting his mates' hair, knows what his role will be as Australia's first man.
Raines thinks Mathieson will be happy playing the role of Julia's assistant - 'looking after' Gillard, cooking for her on any weekend she may be at their shared home in Melbourne's inner-city Altona, shielding her from the pressures of political life for those rare moments they'll have private time.
"We've stirred him up about being 'the first bloke'. But he's devoted to her. We don't see them on weekends because he clears that time to devote to her," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Raines as saying.
"We talk about her a lot and speak about the rise of Julia and he thinks it is fabulous. He's in it as the first bloke and he'll make sure Julia is cared for at home," Raines
added. (ANI)
