Good rainfall in coming months: IMD

Delhi, Jun 26: India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that the weather conditions are becoming more favourable in coming three months of Jul, Aug, Sep as the further advances of Southwest Monsoon will bring good rains in the parts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir.

According to IMD, the coming days will bring good rain to many parts of the nation. The rainfall in next few months will be around 102 per cent of the annual average, four per cent more than what was predicted in April before the onset of the monsoon.

Major features of weather forecast are:

- Widespread rain would occur over Konkan and Goa and Coastal Karnataka.

-Fairly widespread rain would occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Lakshadweep, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, northeastern states, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, South Interior Karnataka and Chhattisgarh.

-Scattered rainfall would over occur east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka, Jammu Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

IMD has also issued heavy rainfall warning in some of the states of West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh during Jun 27th and 28th.
